The CBSE Class 12 Result 2026 is out and now the board has given the whole datesheet for re-evaluation, verification of marks and answer sheet photocopy facility. Students who are not happy with their scores can apply through the official CBSE portal. The board is changing the procedure this year to be more open and student friendly. Under the new approach, students will be provided with their scanned answer sheets and can then submit for rechecking or re-evaluation.

CBSE Class 12 Re-Evaluation 2026 Dates Officially Released

CBSE has established unique dates for each stage of the post result procedure. It is imperative that students follow the timeline as each phase will be open for a limited amount of time. If you miss the deadline you could lose the opportunity to request corrections.

How Students Can Apply for CBSE Re-Evaluation 2026

The whole process will be handled online using the CBSE platform. Students should have their roll number, school number, admission card ID and payment details handy before they begin the application process.

You can visit the official CBSE website https://cbse.gov.in

Open the section ‘Pariksha Sangam’

Click here for “Class 12 Revaluation 2026”

Login with Roll No. & Admit Card information

Choose the required process with care

Complete the online application and pay the application fee

Submit the form and retain the confirmation page

New CBSE OSM Rules Students Must Understand

This year CBSE has revised the structure of re-evaluation process. Students are not allowed to apply for re-evaluation without looking at their answer papers. First, students have to apply for scanned copies of answer sheets which have been marked. “They can after seeing the copies decide whether they want verification of marks or re-evaluation of certain questions,” he said.

The first stage now is answer sheet access

Reassessment permitted only certain responses

Applications accepted online only

Status tracking facility provided by Portal

Students need to apply before the deadlines.

What Is the Difference Between Verification and Re-Evaluation

Many pupils get confused between verification and revaluation. Verification is mostly a check to see whether marks were calculated accurately and if any response was left unchecked. Re-evaluation implies rechecking the selected responses for marking faults. However, it is crucial to understand the difference before you apply.

Process

Purpose

What Gets Checked

Verification of Marks

Checking calculation errors

Total marks and unchecked answers

Re-Evaluation

Review of selected answers

Specific evaluated responses

Photocopy Access

Student review process

Complete scanned answer sheet

Why CBSE Introduced the Updated Re-Evaluation Process

The new approach has been adopted by CBSE to bring transparency and decrease uncertainty among students. In past years, many students asked for re-evaluation without knowing their genuine errors. Now students can see their answer sheets and make an informed selection. This also helps to prevent superfluous applications and to increase the trust in the process of correcting the results.

Important Instructions Students Should Not Ignore

Students are advised to apply solely through the official website and not through any unofficial portals or bogus notices doing rounds on social media. You should also preserve payment receipts and confirmation pages properly saved until the whole process is complete.

Before you submit, be sure to check all the information you submitted.

Use only before the official deadline

Make payment using steady internet

Save and download acknowledgement receipts

Keep visiting CBSE portal for updates

The CBSE Class 12 Re-Evaluation 2026 procedure under the new OSM system is more systematic and structured. Now students have clear idea about accessing answer scripts, checking grades and applying for re-evaluation. Candidates who feel that their scores are less than expected should go through their answer sheets attentively and apply within the stipulated schedule. Following the proper process at the right time can save unnecessary issues and fair rectification of results to the students.
