Eligibility Criteria and Application Process

1. Educational Qualification: The candidate should be graduate or diploma holder in Computer Science or any IT related field from a recognised university/institute.
2. Age Limit: Minimum age limit is 18 years and maximum age limit is 35 years. Age relaxation will be provided as per rules.
3. How to Apply: Candidates can apply online mode through the official RSSB website. Complete all the required details correctly.
4. The required documents are Academic certificates, ID proof, passport size photograph and signature.
5. Application Fee Application fee is non-refundable. Concession in application fee is provided to reserved category candidates.

Selection Procedure and Important Dates

• Written Examination: First stage is a computer based examination on technical and general knowledge.
• Skill Test: The shortlisted candidates will be subjected to practical tests to assess their computer skills and teaching abilities.
• Document Verification: Candidates qualified in the tests will be called for verification of original documents.
• Interview (if applicable): The selection of some candidates is made by means of personal interviews, depending on the requirements of the position.
• Final Merit List : Selection will be made on the basis of the performance in the examinations and skill tests subject to reservation policy.

Exam Pattern and Syllabus Details

1. Exam Duration: The written test will be of 2 hrs duration and will consist of objective type questions.
   
2. Topics to be covered: Basics of Computer, Programming languages, IT Concepts, General Knowledge & Reasoning.
   
3. Marking Scheme:- Correct answers will be awarded points and there will be negative marking for wrong answers.

• Start date: Applications open online 1 June 2026.
• Last Date: The last date for applying for the post is 30th June 2026.
• Admit Card: The admit card will be issued two weeks before the examination.
• Result Declaration: The result of Written Exam will be declared on the official website of RSSB.
